Essendon Keilor College – Performing Arts Centre
A contemporary extension and internal refurbishment, has seen the existing heritage-listed hall developed into a new performing arts centre for the campus and the college.
Rather than a completely new facility, this projects built on the significant history of the site and has given an old, run down building a new lease on life. The new extension, as a contemporary counterpoint to the existing fabric, provides access and back-of-house facilities required by a modern performance space.
The updated facility includes:
- Drama space and workroom
- Change rooms
- Learning spaces
- Theatre performance space
- Lift for passengers and production items
