Altona Meadows Library

Haskell Architects were responsible for the design of a new Library and Community Centre in Altona Meadows.

The project involved the integration of a new community centre and library for the locality of Altona. The process involved extensive consultation with local community groups and the Council to create a dynamic and functional facility, which reflected local community needs.

The building was required to reflect Hobsons Bay City Council’s policy on environmental sustainability, especially in regards to reduced energy consumption and maximisation of natural light, while also using technology innovatively, to enhance access and service delivery.
