Mordialloc Surf Life Saving Club

Haskell Architects designed and delivered a new Surf Life Saving Club and Aboriginal Gathering Place in Mordialloc, Victoria.

Following on from a Feasibility Study, Haskell Architects developed a proposed Management Plan, to promote the effective use and sustainability of the new facility, with clearly defined relationships between Kingston City Council, Life Saving Victoria, Mordialloc Life Saving Club, and other relevant user groups. The facility features:

  • A life Saving Club – providing aquatic safety, training and education programs
  • A recreational space – supporting the Life Saving Club’s engagement with the wider community
  • An Aboriginal Gathering Place – a permanent Gathering Place for the Kingston Koorie Mob, an indigenous youth group

The project was named 2018 Winner in the ‘Improving the Physical Environment’ category at the Victorian Coastal Awards.
