Nepean Special School – Stage 2
A new gymnasium and multipurpose facility at Nepean Special School creates a dedicated precinct for physical activity, learning and student wellbeing, with flexibility built into the planning to support a broad range of uses.
The main space accommodates physical education, structured learning and undercover activities, allowing the facility to respond to changing programs and day-to-day school needs. Accessibility and inclusion are central to the design, supporting safe and equitable use by students with diverse abilities.
Acoustic performance has also been carefully integrated to improve comfort and usability across different activities. The result is a functional and adaptable environment that supports movement, participation and wellbeing while providing the school with a versatile long-term resource.
