Heimat Activity Centre
Heimat House was developed into a new multipurpose community and child care facility to accommodate several not-for-profit, non-denominational organisations. The core principle of the project was to provide a building extension in excess of three times that of the existing homestead, which did not dominate or compete with the original heritage listed building.
The construction cost of $1,130.00/m2 represents a very high level of value for money. Designing a rational floor plan, incorporating repetition of structural elements and minimal palette of materials enabled the Client to achieve the brief within the project budget.
