Lake Mountain Visitor Centre
The new Visitor Information Community Centre at Lake Mountain, required sensitive environmental design given its alpine bushland location and the important social function it fulfils.
The building includes public meeting rooms, kitchens and cafes, administration, public shelter and amenities. The building has been designed to maximise environmental performance and incorporates initiatives such as heat recovery from the streams from the generators used for building heating, high thermal mass retention and double-glazing.
